With a reputation that speaks for itself, Bourke Street Bakery’s handmade bread, pies and tarts are practically too good. Their success hasn’t changed who they are at heart, a neighbourhood bakery. It all started on Bourke Street, hence the name. The Surry Hills store was the beginning of the iconic chain. Started by Paul Allem and David McGuinness, Bourke Street Bakery is a must visit for their signature breads, bakery items, and coffee.

They give back to the community through a variety of initiatives and food donations. If you’re curious as to how they make their bread, Bourke Street Bakery offers classes.
